CJAM Cell Phone Threat Scan Service (CJAM-CTS) blocks signals in areas where mobile service is not welcome. This is a HUGE help in schools and prisons (is that the same?) where cell phones are a big no-no. Read the rest of this entry »

The Cable TV RedZone Channel provides ongoing coverage the games on Sunday, cutting to highlights and scores throughout the day. Having this available on your cell phone will free up that couch potato to actually go out and do something else on Sundays. Of course for the real fans, will watching the game on a tiny cell phone screen be enough? Probably not. Apple put Google’s Voice app into perpetual review, essentially blocking the app from the iPhone. Just when Apple and Google seemed to be making friends again, Apple turned into a proprietary bully. Just 2 days after the earthquake of January 12, 2010 hit Haiti, the first ever EIR (Emergency Information Service) was set up and in place to help. The goal was to provide SMS messaging on cell phones to the disaster-torn country. Google announced it is postponing the launch of the Android phones in China due to cyber spying coming from China. Google says it can no longer accept the censoring of search results on its site in China. Much like the original MagicJack, which uses your home broadband connection for phone calls, the new cell phone MagicJack will utilize the same technology. Gary Arendash, University of South Florida in Tampa, reports that exposure to cell phone radiation has decreased the plaque causing Alzheimer’s Disease in mice.
