Adobe Flash 10.1 looks great on the new 4.3” Droid X screen. Senior Technical Evangelist at Adobe Systems Ted Patrick showed off Adobe Flash 10.1 running on Droid X’s big 4.3 inch screen. Of course there is no hint of when Flash 10.1 will be available for the Droid X, but with Droid X being available in about a week, Flash 10.1 can’t be far behind.
Adobe Flash 10.1 showing on Droid X
I watched Adobe’s YouTube demo but wasn’t too impressed with the demo itself. The video was jerky and didn’t give justice to what I am sure Flash 10.1 will be able to do. And by the time Motorola Droid X is released by Verizon, the World Cup will be over. In reading the comments about the Flash 10.1 demo, even the Adobe Flash developers that responded weren’t too impressed by the demo.
Why have Flash on a mobile? Without Flash, there are many websites that simply won’t load for viewing. Apple chose not to use Flash for its iPhones, and it’s a disaster. With the Droid X utilizing the new Flash 10.1, it does show that Apple’s iPhone4 has big competition.
